ABHINAYA
Mukti Manch is delighted to invite you to it's first Acting workshop called "ABHINAYA - LEARNING THE AESTHETICS OF ACTING", this workshop aims to equip the students in basics of physical craft of acting. A new integrated discipline developed by Mukti Manch involving breath, animalistic movements , emotions, rhythms, speech and voice which can be a part of a performer's everyday routine.
This 10-days workshop will be taken by theatre professionals. There will be a celebrity seminar and a presentation at the end of the course for all students and they will also get a chance to feature in a Mukti Manch's Production.
The details of the workshops are as below:

Time : 8AM to 12:30PM
Age group - 16years and above.
10 days workshop by theatre professionals expert in :
1. Kalaripayattu : Understanding spinal strength and flexibility and use of core muscles through Animalistic movements.
2. Use of Breathe, Rhythm, voice, mime, centres in Acting.
3. Aesthetics of Navarasa through Abhinaya Technique.
4. Using voice and speech through Labaan Acting Technique.
5. Improvisation techniques in Story-telling.
6. Interpretation of Text for scene work in Acting/Performative speeches.
7. Equip the students in basics of physical craft of acting

Abhinaya is ideal for actors who wish to start working professionally. Our curriculum includes integrated techniques, master classes on script analysis which makes you skilled for auditions, seminar for industry insight and networking opportunities.

Belraj with 30years of experience in the first ever martial art form in the world, KALARIPAYATTU and it's different styles from Kerala.
He is a Young, enthusiastic and a committed teacher and has undergone rigorous training. He started his first vocational training under GURU C. S. MENON (UNNIGURUKKAL) Vallabhatta Kalari Sangham, Chavakkad. And continued vocational training, body massaging course and updating new skills in kalaripayattu from Late C..VISWANATHAN Gurukkal Vallabhata Kalari Academy, Malapuram.
Dilna is a Kalari artist based out of Kerala. She is trained in traditional art of combat, Kalaripayattu under distinguished Guru Sri Belraj Soni.
She has also been fortunate enough to learn nuances in Meithari (Body conditioning in Kalari) under Sri Dil Sagar who is one of the leading Kalari/contemporary dance trainer and Sri Prasad Vallabhatta Kalari.
She is trained in Bharatanatyam from a young age but finds herself ultimately connected to the art of movement through Kalaripayattu.
She has been assisting her Guru, Sri Belraj Soni for more than four years in prestigious institutes like The Drama School Mumbai, Somaiya College Vidyavihar and in various classes under Belraj Kalari.
Sankalp has been a part of 35 productions and 100+ performances.He was lauded with the best actor award from the Delhi University and holds a Post Graduate Diploma from BNA (Lucknow) and SRFTI ( Kolkata ) along with a diploma in method acting from the Jeff Goldberg Studio. He has been in association with a range of the finest organisations and directors of the country from Max Mueller Bhavan, Thespo to Robin Das and Devendra Raj Ankur. He recently conducted an acting workshop for the Indian High Commission, Suva, Fiji.
Chrisann Pereira was born for the stage and has stuck with it ever since. Having danced her years through school and college, she found a love for drama whilst she was at it. Chrisann debuted in ‘Three women’. She took on prominent roles in ‘Drumroll’, ‘Sundays with Chitra and Chaitali’ and now an upcoming webseries ‘Ikigai’. The stage has always felt like Home to her. With a love for laughter, poetry, humans and drama.
